The primary shapes used in construction are the C-shape stud and the U-shaped track, and a variety of other shapes. Framing members are generally produced in a thickness of 12 to 25 gauges.

Galvanized steel is the base material for light-gauge steel. Steel is then roll-formed into the final profiles used for framing. The sheets are zinc coated (galvanized) to prevent oxidation and corrosion. Steel framing provides excellent design flexibility due to the inherent strength of steel, which allows it to resist wind and earthquake loads.

External wall infill forms a secondary, lightweight structure, fixed onto the primary super-structure.

Typically positioned at the slab edge, Hadley Steel Framing provides support for insulation and external finishes creating a weathered envelope at an early stage helping to reduce the overall build timeline. Full height stud sections are located and screw fixed to the flanges to floor track section, itself fixed to the floor slab with fixings at intervals determined by structural calculations. The deep track slotted head section is similarly fixed to the underside of the upper floor slab in order to accommodate any deflection within the main frame.

LGSF CONINUOS WALLING Continuous walling is where the SFS is designed so that it ‘over sails’ the edge of the primary structure. This method is often used when a design team wants to maximize the amount of internal floor area or if they are using a cladding which cannot accommodate horizontal deflection joints at each floor level. Continuous walling is typically constructed from the outside of the building.
High Bay Walls High bay walls are similar to infill walls, except they are used internally to provide high separating walls for factory units or atriums. As they are often constructed within hot rolled steel portal frames, the amount of primary frame deflection that needs to be accommodated can be much greater than required for infill panels and bespoke details are typically provided to suit project requirements. High-bay walls can be constructed up to 20m high and because of their lightweight construction there is rarely any need to provide additional foundations underneath the wall. The high strength to weight ratio of the studs enables these high separating walls to be constructed without any need for any hot rolled steel wind posts which would be necessary in an equivalent wall of masonry construction. Walls can also be designed to meet project specific acoustic and fire rating requirements

Designing /
The entire frame is then designed and detailed using integrated software tools. The completed file, then ready for production, is electronically to the manufacturing equipment.
Production The manufacturing equipment then creates each component of the building frame individually, labeling them according to their location in the frame for error free construction.
Transportation / Assembly The completed panels and trusses are then bundled up/ assembled and transported to the construction site. Once at the construction site, the panels and trusses are unloaded and positioned for rapid and accurate assembly.
Finished Building Once the frame is completed, the rest of the structure is built around highly advanced end-to-end steel frame building solutions for roofing, flooring, interiors and exteriors.
